Since 1971, Larry Cable has focused his practice in the areas of public utility, finance, energy, and environmental law. He has also specialized in public finance law, public contracting, and complex litigation. Mr. Cable advises and represents clients on issues related to the formation of consumer-owned utilities, power sales, purchase agreements, and the preparation of documents dealing with electric project financing, construction, operations, and the marketing of power.
Served as lead counsel in the formation and energization of the city of Hermiston’s municipal electric utility in 2001 and serves as counsel for the formation and operation of local PUD and municipal utilities on an ongoing basis.
Represents entities that own or operate municipal and other electric generation and development companies in connection with the Trojan Nuclear Plant, the EWEB-Weyerhaeuser Cogeneration Facility, the Wauna Cogeneration Facility, the Klamath Falls Cogeneration Facility, and other hydro, thermal, wind, and geothermal projects located in various states.
Directed the representation of numerous utilities involved in the Washington Public Power Supply System default litigation.
